01 See the Problem Was…

BLN24 leadership launched the AI Center of Excellence initiative without clearly defined goals, outcomes, or resources to support AI knowledge and adoption for non-technical employees.

There was no centralized repository for prompting guidance, department-specific use cases, or policy direction, leaving employees without a structured foundation for responsible AI use.

Without defined ownership or deliverables, the initiative risked becoming another unfulfilled organizational directive rather than a functional resource employees could rely on.

02 Logan’s Role

  • Built BLN24’s AI Center of Excellence from scratch with no budget and vague direction, developing a centralized repository of prompting guidelines, department-specific personas, and workflow integration guides.
  • Collaborated with employees across departments to develop relevant prompts and personas tailored to their actual work, ensuring the Center of Excellence addressed real departmental needs rather than generic AI use.
  • Reported progress to the Chief Data Officer and Communications Director and presented findings and use case examples to the VP of Marketing throughout the initiative.

03 Results

  • Delivered a complete AI Center of Excellence including prompting guides, department personas, workflow integration guides, and a three-page AI adoption policy governing responsible AI use with federal clients.
  • Presented actionable use cases to senior leadership, demonstrating practical AI applications across communications, business development, data, admin, and project management functions.
  • Established the AI Center of Excellence as BLN24’s operational foundation for generative AI training, prompting, adoption, and governance, giving the organization a scalable and repeatable resource for AI use across all departments.
